WeatherFile widget terms of use

These terms apply to your use of WeatherFile embeddable widgets (including iframe embeds and links we provide through the widget builder). By registering for a widget and using the embed code or URL, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use our widgets.

Permitted use

You may embed our widgets on websites you control using only the official embed snippet or URL generated from the WeatherFile widget builder, with configuration options we make available there. You may resize the iframe container to fit your layout (for example width, max-width, or height) provided the widget remains clearly identifiable as a WeatherFile widget and is not presented in a misleading way.

Prohibited use

You must not:

• Use widgets in any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive context, or in a way that could harm our reputation or mislead end users.
• Alter or obscure data, branding, or attribution in a way that misrepresents the source, accuracy, or meaning of the information shown.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or bypass our services except through the documented embed and public URLs we supply; or use automated means to extract data at scale without our written consent.
• Remove, hide, or degrade required attribution or legal notices where we require them to remain visible.
• Imply endorsement by WeatherFile or Richard Paul Russell Ltd of your site, product, or views where none exists.

Changes and availability

We may update widgets, data feeds, or these terms from time to time. Continued use after we publish changes may constitute acceptance of the updated terms. We may suspend or withdraw access where necessary to protect our services or users.

Disclaimer

Weather and related data are provided for general information. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. You are responsible for how you use the data on your site; to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of the widgets.

Intellectual property

WeatherFile names, logos, and widget assets remain our property or our licensors’. Your licence to embed is non-exclusive and limited to the purposes described here.

General

These terms supplement (and do not replace) our general website terms and privacy policy where they apply to your use of WeatherFile.com. If there is a conflict, the more specific provision for widgets applies.
